Lately I’ve been expressing how the things that are happening in our world and nation are starting to get to me a little bit. I’m sick of COVID. It is taking too many lives. All people talk about is vaccines and masks.  Our nation seems more divided than ever. We take sides on every little thing.  Even in World events it just seems as though the world has lost it’s mind.  In some cases it seems as though the enemy is gaining a foothold. Gospel hating nations seem to be gaining power and strength. I don’t have the answers. It can be overwhelming mentally and spiritually.

Enter the Prophet Isaiah. Opened this morning.  Chapter 28, verse 16:
“Therefore thus says the Lord God:
‘Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,
A tried stone, a precious stone, a sure foundation; ….’”

We know that this prophecy is about Christ. He is our foundation.  One thing that has happened in my life through all of this is that I am more sure and confident in my Faith and my Savior than ever before. I don’t know the reasons why and I don’t need to know. My Lord knows and I am in His hands!  I can completely sum up how I am feeling this morning in the words of an old hymn, (you gotta love the old hymns!}
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.

When darkness seems to hid His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.

His oath, His covenant, His blood
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.

When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
Blessings and love to you all……
