YOUTH MINISTRY UPDATE

YOUTH MINISTRY UPDATE

This past week, we had a great group of students come out to help unload pumpkins for the church pumpkin patch. It was a joy to see so many young people stepping up to serve, and it reminded me of the importance of passing down our faith from generation to generation. Just as the pumpkins will bless families in our community, the seeds of faith we plant in our students today will bear fruit for years to come.

But training up the next generation doesn’t happen by accident. Proverbs 22:6 reminds us to “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” That training happens both through teaching God’s Word and through living it out in front of our students. When they see us serving faithfully, praying consistently, and loving others sacrificially, they learn what it means to follow Christ.

At the same time, we know that not every event or effort will always to as planned. Sometimes numbers are small or the results are not what we hoped. Yet our measure of success should not be attendance charts — it should be the impact of our faithfulness. Each act of service, each lesson taught, and each prayer prayered is a step in shaping lives for Christ. Event if we don’t see immediate results, God is at work. As Paul reminds us a 1 Corinthians 3:6, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.”

Let’s continue to pour into our students with faith and patience, trusting that God will bring the increase in His time.

In Christ,
Cody Dowden
