BK’S KORNER

Well, if you missed the fellowship last night then you missed some good food and great fellowship. Our ladies do a wonderful job at putting on a spread. It is nice to sit and visit over some food.  The ice cream truck was a hit! I ate way too much! If you haven’t already, make plans to attend the next one.

Remember John 6:26-27. This the day after Jesus has fed the 5000. The people were looking for Jesus. They searched all over and finally found Him on the other side of the lake.  They asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You come here.” He said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of loaves and were filled.  Do not labor for food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.” 

Jesus was telling them that there is something more important than food. It is something that only God can give to you. It is things like peace and contentment. It is also eternal life. The most important thing in this world is our relationship with Christ. Labor for that food.
